Inception

Hi people I hope you all are doing great. Though I came back to India couple of weeks back.. am still disconnected from Internet most of the time due to the personal reasons and hence why I am unable to update the blog....But whenever I update I will come with the best of the best movie. And this time it is with Inception. So guys & gals are you ready to analyze your dreamZzzzzzzzz

The film opens with Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) unconscious on a beach. He is found by an armed guard and brought into the chamber of an elderly man, who speaks to him cryptically. Cobb is carrying only a small, metal spinning top and a gun.

The plot cuts back to an earlier time, to reveal a crime inside a dream arranged by Cobb and his team, including a point man, Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), and an architect named Nash (Lukas Haas) who design and fill a dream world designed to have the victim's mind reveal real-world secrets. Objects and characters in the dreams are projections of the dreamers' minds, and may be lacking in unconsidered details. They are currently inside the mind of Saito (Ken Watanabe), who, unknown to them, is aware of their deception and is auditioning them to work for his own dream crime.

The rules of the dream world are explained: if an individual is hurt in the dream world, they will experience pain in a very real sense. But if they die in the dream, they will merely wake up. Dreamers use "totems" or small, self-made artifacts like a metal top or loaded dice, to test whether they are awake or merely dreaming. A "maze" or world contains the other shared dreamers -- all sleeping in a special drug-induced state in close proximity to each other. Dream crimes usually involve "Extraction" of secrets from a target's mind, but Saito wants Cobb to perform the much harder act of "Inception" -- creating new thoughts in the target, which he later accepts as his own idea.

The team and Saito are brought back to the real world (in Japan), where they have a device in a briefcase that lulls people into a shared dream experience. The team escapes, apparently eluding capture by Saito, but Cobb and Arthur are confronted by Saito when attempting to leave the country. Saito convinces Cobb to take the difficult job of inception (using a dream to implant an idea within a person's mind) by offering Cobb a way to get home to his children.

Cobb recruits Eames (Tom Hardy), a forger who can shift his identity inside a dream, as well as a highly talented architecture student named Ariadne (Ellen Page), who is trained to construct dream worlds. While Ariadne trains inside Cobb's mind, she sees and slowly comes to understand what is haunting him: a vision of his deceased wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) that continually disrupts his dream world.

The team's target for inception is Robert Fischer Jr. (Cillian Murphy), son of Saito's late corporate rival Maurice Fischer (Pete Postlethwaite). The idea is a complex emotional suggestion that will ultimately lead Fischer to disband his father's empire. To achieve their goal, Cobb's team will have to pass down through several levels, each a dream within the last. Time slows down with each level, so that five minutes of real time would appear as an hour in the first dream, which feels like 10 hours in the next level, and so on.

Because of the strong sedatives used and the depth of the dreams there is state of "limbo" that will be entered if a person dies within a dream while too sedated to wake up. The time within limbo is compounded so drastically that even a few moments of real time could seem to be decades.

hmmmm I can hear you saying woww amazing and what happens next?? I am not here to spill the beans but rather plant the beans or to be specific to do Inception in your mind that ...."go & watch this movie to find the answers"!! lol

Now whether our dream snatchers able to inject a new idea in Fischer's mind?? what are the challenges they face in this mission impossible?? will Cobb is able to get through with his Mal?? will he able to get back to his own country??

As per Vish: One of the best part of the story is.....you will get all the answers at the right times..but yet the directory/writer (Christopher Nolan) leaves you in no man's land and leave it to you to decide whether it is all a dream or real. As all Nolan's movies this one too has Mind Bending screenplay and perfect characterizations. Undoubtedly christopher Nolan is considered to be the this decades best director..If you look at his previous films he repeatedly proved the same...

1. Memento rephrased the way of writing screenplay
2. Batman Begins started a new genre called making of a super hero
3. The Dark Knight is considered to be the best super hero film ever made
4. Inception....undoubtedly re-creates the way stunts are being choreographed in merge with the screenplay.

Though I am able to write the review of this movie...I still have some doubts...so after watching the movie if you can educate me on this, it will be a pleasure.

1. Why the movie starts with a dream which Cobb dreams only at the end of the film. I mean why didnt Chris started the movie with a crime scene between cobb & saito. There should be some specific reason why he started with Cobb laying helplessly on a shore with a gun & his spinning-top. What is the reason of starting movie with this scene??

2. Due to the high chemical compound when a person in the dream dies...he must get lost in a limbo..but why does saito is not lost when he dies in a penultimate scene??

3. Why after achieving such a big task...nobody(especially Cobb) is happy and rather seems stressful and surprised while coming out of the plane??

4. This is rather a silly question...but dont laugh and educate me....who removes all the wires which are injucted to everyone in the plane before the dream is ended. Chris shows in a such a way that once Cobb opens eyes everyone is waking up from their own world.

5. And again he(Chris-director) confuses us/me by showing Saito taking a phone..will he call-up immigration to do the needful for Cobb as promised???

So people if you know the answers to the above questions..please explain it to me please please please...or else I can't sleep & I can't dream! lol

Pandorum

Hello people I hope you all had a great weekend.....I spent the whole weekend in Guntur with my cousin. So, had tasted some wonderful food...went to Bapatla beach :) in the mean while watched couple of movies. And the one which I loved is none other than 'Pandorum'. So lets know about this Pandorum...

Two astronauts, Bower (Foster) and Payton (Quaid), wake up from suspended animation to find themselves alone, with no memory of who they are, what they are doing, or what has happened to the crew of their 60,000 passenger sleeper ship the Elysium. They are unable to access the ship's bridge, and cannot communicate with any other members of the crew, including the flight team they are to relieve.[5] While exploring the spacecraft under Payton's radio guidance, Bower talks with Payton about Pandorum, a psychological condition brought on by extended periods of hyper-sleep (suspended animation) and its symptoms and effects, including severe paranoia, vivid hallucinations, and homicidal tendencies.

As Bower explores on, he encounters dead bodies, and fast moving humanoid creatures. Escaping from one of them, he then encounters other human survivors, and they work together to reach the ship's nuclear reactor. The reactor will fail permanently if Bower does not reset it soon. Moving on, the group encounters another survivor, who tells them the story of what had happened before they awakened. Their mission is revealed to be one of desperation. Earth, suffering from massive overpopulation, dispatched the sleeper ship and its crew on a 123-year voyage to a new, Earth-like planet called Tanis to create a settlement. When the ship receives one last message from Earth, informing them that Earth was no more and that they were the last survivors, one of the three crew members (as there are usually three flight crew active at any one shift) turned insane, killed his other two crew mates, then played God by awakening most of the crew and doing what he pleased with them. When he grew bored of it, he went back into suspended animation and left the rest of the crew unwaken. Genetic augments that every crew member had received prior to the mission (for quick adaptation to the new planet) had instead adapted them to the ship, turning them into the cannibalistic monsters that Bower and the other survivors have been encountering. This survivor then knocks them out with gas. Upon awakening, they find themselves chained up, with the survivor about to kill them for food.

hmmmm nice twists....what happens next?? will our Bower and Payton able to survive....who else will survive...actually where is the ship placed...to know all these secrets you have to pick this DVD.

As per Vish: Sci-Fi movie lovers will love this flick, it has all the ingrediants to become a best sci-fi movie. So people have a joyful ride to another earth-like planet.

12 Monkeys

Hello people I hope you all started this week with a big smile :) and going great in your profession. Today I came up with a wonderful sci-fi flick called '12 Monkeys'. So lets know who are these 12 Monkeys and what did they do for the mankind....

James Cole (Willis) is a convicted criminal living in a grim post-apocalyptic future. In 1996-1997, the Earth's surface was contaminated by a virus so deadly that it forced the surviving population to live underground. To earn a pardon, Cole allows scientists to send him on dangerous missions to the past to collect information on the virus, thought to be released by a terrorist organization known as the Army of the Twelve Monkeys. If possible, he is to obtain a pure sample of the original virus so a cure can be made. Throughout the film, Cole is troubled with recurring dreams involving a chase and a shooting in an airport.

On Cole's first trip, he arrives in Baltimore in 1990, not 1996 as planned. He is arrested and hospitalized in a mental institution on the diagnosis of Dr. Kathryn Railly (Stowe). There, he encounters Jeffrey Goines (Pitt), a fellow mental patient with animal rights and anti-consumerist leanings. Cole tries unsuccessfully to leave a voice mail on a number monitored by the scientists in the future. After a failed escape attempt, Cole is restrained and locked in a cell, but then disappears, returning to the future. Back in his own time, Cole is interviewed by the scientists, who play a distorted voice mail message which gives the location of the Army of the Twelve Monkeys and states that they are responsible for the virus. He is also shown photos of numerous people, including Goines. The scientists then send him back to 1996.

Cole kidnaps Railly and sets out in search of Goines, who they learn is founder of the Army of the Twelve Monkeys. When confronted, however, Goines denies any involvement with the virus and suggests that wiping out humanity was Cole's idea, originally broached at the asylum in 1990. Cole vanishes again as the police approach. After Cole disappears, Railly begins to doubt her diagnosis of Cole when she finds evidence that he is telling the truth.

hmmmm interesting....will Cole goes back to the past....will Raily and Cole find the truth behind 12 monkeys....will they ever stop the virus....is the remaining story which you should see on screen.

As per Vish: A good sci-fi flick with enough thrills to make you sit till the end. Willis as Cole is superb and Brad Pitt as Goines has done some fabulous job. So people lets start this week with 12 Monkeys :)

The Incredible Hulk

Hello people I hope you all had a great weekend and a very good Monday morning :) me too, as I am into night shifts from tonight I got time to complete some pending works. So coming to our picture today.. I have a surprise character called Hulk. And here is the story of him...

A montage during the opening credit sequence details the film's backstory and the origin of the Hulk. General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) meets with Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), the colleague and lover of his daughter Betty (Liv Tyler). He wants him to revive a World War II-era military bio-force project, but tells Banner the goal of the experiment is to make human beings immune to gamma radiation. The experiment fails, transforming Banner into the monstrous Hulk (voiced by Lou Ferrigno), and injuring Betty. Now a fugitive from the United States Army, Banner has been on the run for five years.

As the film opens, Banner works at a soda bottling factory in Rocinha while searching for a cure for his condition (through analyzing the properties of certain rare, Amazonian plants and herbs) with the help of a colleague on the Internet, known only as "Mr. Blue". He is also learning meditative breathing techniques from a martial arts expert (Rickson Gracie) to help regulate his pulse rate and keep his anger under control, and has not transformed in 158 days. After Banner cuts his finger, a drop of his blood ends up in one of the bottles, and is eventually ingested by an ill-fated consumer (Stan Lee) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This accident points Ross to Banner's location and he sends a team, led by Russian-born British special ops expert Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), to capture him. Banner escapes Blonsky by transforming into the Hulk and fighting off his team inside the bottle factory. After Ross explains how Banner first became the Hulk, a vengeful Blonsky agrees to be injected with a new super soldier serum, which gives him increased strength, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance and healing.

Meanwhile, Banner returns to Culver University (where the Hulk was born) in Virginia and reunites with Betty, who is dating psychiatrist Leonard Samson (Ty Burrell). On the day he decides to leave, Ross and Blonsky's forces attack Banner at Culver University to draw out the Hulk, having been tipped off by the suspicious Samson. The Hulk wins the battle and flees with Betty. After he calms down, Banner and Betty go on the run. After several stops, Banner again makes contact with "Mr. Blue", who urges them to travel to New York City to meet him. He turns out to be cellular biologist Dr. Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson), a college professor. They learn that Sterns has developed a possible antidote that may cure Banner's condition, or merely reverse each individual transformation. After a successful test, Sterns reveals that he has synthesized Banner's blood sample (which he sent from Brazil) into a large supply with the intention of using it to enhance the human condition to the next evolutionary level. Appalled by what Sterns had done and fearful of the Hulk's power falling into the wrong hands, Banner attempts to convince Sterns to destroy the blood supply, but he is attacked by Ross' forces and taken into custody with Betty.

While Sterns is interrogated with a female soldier about his work, Blonsky strikes her down and demands Sterns to inject him with Banner's blood sample. Sterns warns that the combination of the supersoldier formula (which Blonsky has overdosed on, mutating his skeleton) and a gamma treatment would be an unpredictable combination that could turn him into an "abomination". Unconcerned, Blonsky forces Sterns to administer the gamma charge, and he mutates into a powerful monster.

awww what happens next? will this monster kill our hero hulk? what happens to hulk's lady love....and what happens to Hulk actually is the remaining action filled climax.

As per Vish: Though not a must watch movie, this one is much better than its predecessor 'Hulk' which bombed. So if you are a Marvel comics fan or if you love sci-fi action flicks then you can bet on this one.

The Matrix

Heeey guys I hope you all had a great plans for this weekend, just like my roommates....as they left to Badhrachalam (holy place of Lord Rama). ok ok I didn't because I have to post a very good movie..a very very good movie. ooops pls dont look like that...actually I didnt go because of my office work(as usual!). But I am here with you to share about a very good movie...a very very good movie! lol ok lets put a full stop to this bhajan and start new paragraph about the movie called 'The Matrix'...

Computer programmer Thomas A. Anderson leads a secret life as a hacker under the alias "Neo". He wishes to learn the answer to the question, "What is the Matrix?" Cryptic messages appearing on his computer monitor and an encounter with several sinister agents lead him to a group led by the mysterious Morpheus, a man who offers him the chance to learn the truth about the Matrix. Neo accepts by swallowing an offered red pill, and abruptly wakes up naked in a liquid-filled pod, his body connected by wires to a vast mechanical tower covered with identical pods. The connections are severed and he is rescued by Morpheus and taken aboard his hovercraft, the Nebuchadnezzar. Neo's neglected physical body is restored, and Morpheus explains the situation.

Morpheus informs Neo that the year is is not 1999, but estimated to be closer to 2199. Humanity is fighting a war against intelligent machines created in the early 21st century. The sky is covered in thick black clouds created by the humans in an attempt to cut off the machines' supply of solar power. The machines responded by using human beings as their energy source, growing countless people in pods and harvesting their bioelectrical energy and body heat. The world which Neo has inhabited since birth is the Matrix, an illusory simulated reality construct of the world as it was in 1999, developed by the machines to keep the human population docile in their captivity. Morpheus and his crew are a group of free humans who "unplug" others from the Matrix and recruit them to their resistance against the machines. Within the Matrix they are able to use their understanding of its nature to bend the laws of physics within the simulation, giving them superhuman abilities. Morpheus believes that Neo is "the One", a man prophesied to end the war through his limitless control over the Matrix.

Neo is trained to become a member of the group. A socket in the back of Neo's skull, formerly used to connect him to the Matrix, allows knowledge to be uploaded directly into his mind. He learns numerous martial arts disciplines, and demonstrates his kung fu skills by sparring with Morpheus in a virtual reality "construct" environment similar to the Matrix, impressing the crew with his speed. Further training introduces Neo to the key dangers in the Matrix itself. Injuries suffered there are reflected in the real world; if he is killed in the Matrix, his physical body will also die. He is warned of the presence of Agents, powerful and fast sentient programs with the ability to take over the virtual body of anyone still connected to the system, whose purpose is to seek out and eliminate any threats to the simulation. This makes it incredibly dangerous to fight Agents in populated areas, as anyone in the surroundings could become possessed by the Agent(s), if his previous human "shell" was destroyed. Yet Morpheus is confident that once Neo fully understands his own abilities as "the One", they will be no match for him.

The group enters the Matrix and takes Neo to meet the Oracle, the woman who has predicted the eventual emergence of the One. She tells Neo that he has "the gift", but that he is waiting for something, perhaps the next life. From her comments, Neo deduces that he is not the One. She adds that Morpheus believes in Neo so blindly that he will sacrifice his life to save him. Returning to the hacked telephone line which serves as a safe "exit" from the Matrix, the group is ambushed by Agents and SWAT teams. Morpheus is captured as Neo and the others escape and....

I know your eagerness to know the what happens next! but it will be very thrilling if you guys watch it in DVD than here. So rush to your nearest DVD store get 'The Matrix'.

As per Vish: This movie got released when I was in college,almost 10 yrs back but I still believe that there is no movie which has come to impress me as this one. Have a super sunday people :)

Eagle Eye

Hello people I hope you all enjoyed Uma thumran in accidental husband, today I am bringing Shia in an cutting edge thriller called 'Eagle Eye'. So lets welcome him! I mean lets click the play button...

The United States armed forces have a lead on a suspected terrorist in the Middle East, but as the man is a recluse, getting a positive ID proves difficult, and the DOD's computer system recommends that the mission be aborted. The Secretary of Defense (Michael Chiklis) agrees with the abort recommendation, but the President orders the mission be carried out anyway. This turns into a political backlash when all those killed turn out to be civilians, and retaliatory bombings are carried out in response.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf), is a Stanford University dropout who lacks direction and faces financial difficulty. He finds out his twin brother Ethan, is dead. Following the funeral he goes to withdraw some money from an ATM and is surprised to see that he has $750,000 in his account. When he returns home he finds his apartment filled with a large amount of weapons, explosives, and forged documents. He receives a phone call from an unknown woman, who explains that the FBI is about to apprehend him in thirty seconds and that he must escape. Not believing her, he is caught by the FBI Agent Thomas Morgan (Billy Bob Thornton) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations Special Agent Zoe Perez (Rosario Dawson). The unknown woman arranges Jerry's escape and has him join up with single mother Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan). Holloman is being coerced into helping by the woman, who threatens to kill her son, Sam, a trumpet player on his way to Washington, D.C. from Chicago for a band recital.

The woman helps the pair to avoid the police and FBI units, demonstrating the ability to remotely control virtually any networked device, such as traffic lights, cell phones, and even automated cranes. While Jerry and Rachel follow her instructions, the woman has a crystal explosive made into a necklace and its sound-based trigger placed inside Sam's trumpet. Jerry and Rachel are led from Chicago to Washington, D.C. via Indianapolis and Dayton through various means. Along the way, they are introduced to the woman, who is actually a top secret super-computer called ARIA tasked with gathering intelligence from all over the world. ARIA, the overtaken computer, can control virtually anything electronic to that end. In light of the mistake made by the President at the beginning of the film, ARIA has decided that the executive branch is a threat to the public good and must be eliminated. ARIA plans to destroy the President's cabinet, and calls this Operation Guillotine. It has decided to leave the Secretary of Defense, who agreed with its recommendation to abort, as the successor to the presidency. She does not reveal this to Jerry or Rachel, merely explaining that she is trying to help the people of the United States.

At the Pentagon, where ARIA is housed, Agent Perez discovers that Ethan worked as a technician for the computer and locked it down to prevent ARIA from carrying out her plan. Perez warns the Secretary of Defense and they discuss the situation in a sealed room to prevent ARIA from hearing their conversation. Jerry and Rachel arrive at the Pentagon and are led to the super computer, where ARIA forces Jerry to impersonate Ethan and use an override code allowing her to go ahead with the plan. Jerry observes CCTV footage displaying Ethan's fatal car crash (due to sabotaged traffic lights), realizing ARIA orchestrated Ethan's death since his twin could've stopped her. She then instructs Rachel to eliminate Jerry to prevent the lock from being reinstated,

hmmm the twist that can never be expected has come! will Rachael kills him or not...and what happens to the ARIA operation of killing the persons in her hit list..and most importantly who are their in her hit list is the remaining climax.

As per Vish: Though not a must watch thriller, this one has enough thrills to make you spill your cola. If you put pause on your logical thoughts then you may enjoy it more. So for today enjoy this thriller :)

Resident Evil

Hello people I hope you all had a great weekend with Indi today lets meet 'Alice', a women who lost her identity in Raccoon City. Lets find who she is and how she lost her identity and other details...

The film begins in The Hive, a top-secret underground genetic research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation located beneath Raccoon City. A technician loads vials of blue and green liquid into a secured case. After finishing, a blue vial is tossed inside a lab while exiting and seals the room. As the door closes, the vial breaks on the floor. Minutes later, the facility's security system detects possible infection and kills everyone inside the Hive through various means. Elsewhere, Alice (Jovovich) awakens in the shower of an empty mansion with no recollection of her identity. She discovers a picture showing that she is married, but discovers clues that contradict that she is a simple housewife such as automatic weapons, and an odd note. As she searches the mansion, she walks a few feet outside the mansion door, the wind picks up and while she backs toward the door, she is yanked inside by a man; the two are immediately seized by a group of commandos. The man, Matthew (known as Matt through the movie) Addison, reveals himself to be a police officer, but the commandos handcuff him regardless. The team opens a mirror-door to an underground train station, while prepping the train the team discovers an unconscious man, later to be known as Spence. Alice recognizes him as being the man from a wedding photograph in the mansion, and looking at her wedding ring, she sees the inside of it reads: Property of the Umbrella Corporation. After some routine questioning, it is discovered that he also suffers from amnesia.
The "One", as he was called, is the head of the commandos and explains that Alice, Spence, and the commandos, are employees of the Umbrella Corporation, and it was the Umbrella Corporation that sent the commando team to investigate why the Hive's defensive computer, the Red Queen, killed all Umbrella staff. She was responsible for releasing a nerve gas in the mansion which has caused Alice and Spence's amnesias, but throughout the film Alice begins to have glimpses of her past. The crew find their way to the Queen's chamber; however, as the bulk of the team attempt to disable the Red Queen, they are trapped in the corridor leading to the Queen's Chamber and are torn apart by a laser. This leaves Alice, Spence, Kaplan, J.D., Rain and Matt as the only survivors. Alice and Kaplan shut the Queen down, but in doing so open the doors of the facility, releasing the undead staff and experiments from the laboratories in which they were imprisoned. Rain becomes infected after receiving multiple bite wounds, and a battle ensues in which Matt and Alice are separated and J.D. is killed. Alice discovers that Matt was not a police officer, and used the title as a cover in his goal to help take down the Umbrella Corporation. Matt, with the help of his sister, Lisa, attempts to smuggle a sample of the T-Virus, the cause of the zombies, but the two were unsuccessful. Matt believes this to be the fault of Lisa's contact, who supposedly betrayed her. Throughout the film Alice has flashbacks, showing herself as Lisa's contact, but Alice is not fully aware of her role in the events.
Soon, the survivors are once more united at the Queen's chamber and are forced to switch her back on for aid in an exit. Kaplan overrides the Queen's circuit-breaker, causing the next time she is disabled to be permanent, and the Red Queen somewhat agrees to aid the team. As Alice and the others try to escape through the maintenance tunnels, they are ambushed by zombies. Rain becomes severely injured and begins to weaken, while Kaplan is separated from the rest of the team and is assumed dead. On their way to the train, Alice remembers that an anti-virus exists that could cure the ailing Rain. However, arriving at the lab, they realize that the vials containing the T-Virus and anti-virus are gone. Spence, gaining his memory, is then shown as the person who released the virus. He points a gun at the survivors, and threatens them, trapping the others in the laboratory and making for the train where the case containing the anti-virus is. Before he can inject himself, however, he is killed by a Licker, a mutant-creature created by injecting the T-Virus directly into living tissue. The Queen offers to spare Alice and Matt's life if they kill Rain, who has been infected for the longest period of time. As the Licker attempts to bash through the lab window to get to them, the enraged Alice smashes the Queen's monitor, and there is suddenly a power-outage. The laboratory door opens to reveal Kaplan, who has permanently disabled the Red Queen.

What happens next will he become victims and who will survive at the end...will the survivors ever get into the train or not... is the remaining thrilling climax.

As per vish: Defenetly a worth watchable thriller which has its own moments to enthrall the audience. If you are a sci-fi lover then this one is for you. Have a nice thrilling monday :)

Pitch Black

Hi people:) hmmmm I can see that everyone are planning programmes for sunday...nice, I am here with a nice sci-fi thriller called "Pitch Black". So, lets see what is behind this story....

As the movie opens, the Hunter Gratzner, a cargo spacecraft with basic accommodations for 40 passengers en route to the Tangiers system, accidentally crosses through a meteor shower while on auto-pilot (due to all passengers and crew being in cryo-sleep) and suffers catastrophic damage. With the captain having been killed during the initial meteor strike, the docking pilot Carolyn Fry, awoken by the ships computers, wants to dump the passenger cabin after dumping the previous two compartments to level out the spacecraft as it plummets to the planet below so the crew can survive. The navigator Greg Owens (also awakened) keeps her from doing so by jamming a door open with a piece of equipment, preventing the ships computer from accepting Fry's order. The ship eventually crash-lands on a strange, brightly lit desert planet M6-117 (actually the moon of a larger gas planet) and only 12 people survive. Fry survives, but Owens is mortally wounded in the crash and dies shortly afterward. Among the other survivors are a dangerous criminal (Richard B. Riddick, headed for a new prison), his captor William J. Johns, a Muslim (Imam with his three disciples Hassan, Ali and Suleiman), a young stowaway named Jack, an antique dealer named Paris, and two Australian settlers, Zeke and Shazza.

Ridick manages to escape, and Johns leaves to track him. Zeke and the others take it upon themselves to bury those who died in the crash. While Shazza and Jack are searching the ship for bodies, a shadow alerts them to the presence of a nearby person. They fear it is Riddick, but their fears prove baseless when it turns out to be another unknown survivor. Zeke, however, not knowing what Riddick looks like and fearing it may be him, shoots and kills him before being told it was not Riddick, who has used the commotion to sneak into a chair Paris was using to keep watch under a parasol and relaxes with Paris' drink for a moment. When Zeke goes on to bury Owens and the survivor he killed, he notices a small hole in the wall of the pit in the sand. He uses his hands to shovel sand away from the hole and creates a man sized opening. Crawling inside, he is attacked by unseen creatures and brutally killed. Shazza comes to investigate his screaming and sees Riddick, who had also just arrived at the pit. She accuses him of killing Zeke, and he runs away, only to be caught shortly afterwards by Johns, who was hiding behind a stone and surprised him. Riddick is questioned as to whether he killed Zeke, and replies that although he has killed many people, Zeke was not one of them. When Fry investigates the cave, she soon discovers that some kind of vicious creatures exist underground.

While searching for water, an abandoned mining settlement is discovered several miles from the crash site. To the great excitement of the survivors, they find a large supply of water and even a small ship capable of leaving the planet (once its power is restored). While exploring the settlement, young Ali goes into the coring chamber and accidentally disturbs a nesting brood of young creatures, who rip the skin from his body. This finally demonstrates to the others not only that the creatures (henceforth called 'Bioraptors') do exist and are incredibly dangerous, but to their relief it also shows they have a strong need to avoid sunlight as well. However their relief is short lived when Fry discovers (via a moving model of the solar system they are in) that every 22 years, for one month, the planet undergoes a total solar eclipse. She also realizes that it must have been during the total darkness of the last such eclipse that the creatures were able to kill all the previous residents of the settlement and, to everyone's dismay, this last eclipse occurred almost exactly 22 years ago.

Now knowing they must escape the planet before the eclipse starts and the creatures emerge, Fry remembers that there are energy cells back in the Hunter Gratzner wreckage that will power the skiff they found. The survivors decide to use a solar powered ATV to go back to the crash site, retrieve the power cells, and then try and get back to the skiff and escape before darkness falls.

Unfortunately, when they are only a few hundred yards from the crash site, the eclipse begins, causing the solar powered ATV to stop. Even worse however, as they are walking the rest of the way to the wreckage in the fast approaching darkness, huge swarms of Bioraptors suddenly emerge from large mounds all over the desert. Shazza is torn in half while running to the ship, but the rest make it inside. However they are now trapped inside a cargo container at the crash site without adequate supplies and with seemingly no safe way to get back to the skiff and escape.

After they discover (at the cost of Hassan) that the Bioraptors are actually harmed by light, and knowing that while in prison Riddick had a procedure, "eyeshine," performed that allows him to see in the dark, the group decides to arm themselves with flashlights, fluorescent lights, and rifle-sized glow-wands and move out into the open to try and make it back to the skiff (dragging the heavy power cells behind them), using a makeshift sled with a rig on it which provides power to the various flourescents and glow-wands. During the trip, Paris panics and runs away from the group, accidentally destroying the light-providing rig. Paris remarks to himself that he was supposed to die in France but never even saw it. Alone in total darkness, he takes a swig of alcohol and spits out fire (via a lighter), revealing for a moment that he is surrounded by Bioraptors.

wwwooowww sounds interesting right? I know....If you want to know whether our Riddick able to save his crew or not you have to watch this thrilling climax.

As per vish: Vin Diesel as Riddick is awesome...we cant expect anyone other than him. If you are a serious sci-fi lover then this flick is for you though if you are not you can watch it for thrilling scenes. So people have a gr8 weekend :)
