Boog(Voice over by Martin Lawrence) is a happy go lucky civilised Bear who performs stage shows accompanied with his female master Park Beth (VO- Debra Messing). One day Boog rescues Elliot, a hyper, one-antlered mule deer ( VO-Ashton Kutcher) from a rabid hunter (VO-Gary Sinise). Determind to repay Boog, Elliot takes him out for a night to a grocery store. As they messup the whole store Boog gets arrested by the local police and will be informed to Beth. Once again Elliot comesback to say sorry to Boog and creates a havoc at the stage show. As the public gets afraid of Boog, Beth decides to leave him in a forest. Boog who is grownup in a civilised place takes time to udjest in a forest. What makes Boog uncomfortable in the forest....will Boog get used to it or will he leave to city...will he accept Elliot's sorry...what is an Open Season mean... to know the answers you need to watch the movie.
Superb work from the animators. They have shown that animals can sell the movie equal to a big budget actors. The hunters chasing scene where flood comes is brilliantly animated. And the background colour combinations they have used is worth a watch. They just recreated a forest.
As per vish: A must watch movie with kids (Preferbly on a 3D screen).
