This is one of the best animation movies of all time. It is because this is the first movie which is made in the format of Peformance Capture technology where the performance of a certain actor is captured and rendered into any character created digitally. So the total movie which you see is an animated one but the mind blowing performances which impresses you at every second is from the real time actors or I can say real time actor(as he acted for 6 characters) he is none other than Tom Hanks who plays Six distinct characters.
Film starts with an 8 year old boy(performance by Tomhanks/VO by Daryl Sabara) who tries to sleep before christmas wakes up when he hears a train sound and will run to see the train. The train will stop and the conductor from the train called "The Polar Express" informs him that Santa is aware of the boy's dwindling faith and this is the crucial year (as it may be the last year he believes in Santa), and tells him he should get on. After hesitating first our hero boy takes the journey. And the rest of the story is the journey of our hero boy to North pole and returning to his place. Story has good meaningfull characters which explains the reason behind the christmas.
You will just say wwoww once you see the way they animated with professional actors. This movie is an example for the best work of Professional actors with professional animators.
As per vish: A treat to watch Tom Hanks in the roles of Conductor, Hero boy, Santa, Father, Hobo and Scrooge and great applause to the animatiors who recreated the actors. And dont forget to take the Santa's message "Just Believe" :)
