Hello people a very good evening to everybody. Today I have been to an earth-like planet called 'Pandora'. It is a green lush planet with full of vegetation, full of life, floating mountains, flying dragons, and especially a new humanly beings(Naivi). But while I was enjoying this unforgettable ride...came a villian....a destroyer who eyed on this vegetation, wanted to transport it to earth...yeah our very own earth. I know this secret but how can I translate it to Naivi's of Pandora? will they listen to me as I look like them??? or will they dont as I am being human of earth??? How can I save this wonderful planet from this daemon???

After couple of hours when the screen went blank and when lights are up I understood that I came out of Avatar....I came out of Pandora...and its now hard to believe that I am a human being. Yes, now I hate to be a human being....as I destroyed so many trees...killed so many creatures...still killing my mother land by polluting it with my bike....I dont know who invented the word 'Human Being' but I guess we are actually 'Been Human'.

This movie is a journey of a paralyzed Marine who goes to a new planet and meets one of the wonderful women spends best of his life time in an unknown world and becomes a warrior for her planet and becomes a native of that planet by saving it from invaders.

yeah I agree that it looks like a predictable movie. Here comes the first surprise in the form of director...this is directed by 'James Cameron' the guy who gave us 'Alien', 'The Terminator'. True Lies, Titanic to name a few. And he himself became a brand. Just like the way Marvel comics promote their movie by showing toys & comics....20th Century Fox promoted by placing a brand called 'James Cameron'. They thought he himself is a brand...and they are 100% right. Because only this name gave Terminator in 1990's....Titanic in 2000's and now With Avatar for the next decade proving that he is a brand and nobody can beat him in near or far future.





The best part of Cameron is he will make sure that Technology (VFX/Animation) never dominates Drama. I guess he is the only guy who blends Drama with Technology by equal proportion. If you take the example of Michael Bay he uses superior technology but at the same time overdose of sex & violence kills the sensitivity of his stories. Coming to this movie every department has its share of applause right from the makeup artist to the VFX is perfectly done with minute details.

And next comes the characterization...again kudos to James who made sure that each character has its share of importance. A hero is always hero right from his attitude to body language. A heroine is a perfect match to our hero...you see her in nude for the whole movie but you never look at her private parts...because you see her from the eyes of hero and you feel that she is a heroine/princess not a whore. Villian should be always a villian...and again right from the first frame he is protrayed as the guy who is against to Pandora people.

Coming to the screenplay...just imagine you have only 160 min of time to tell the story that happens in an unknown planet with unknown people and with unknown language (20%). It needs highly skilled screen writers and yet again James scores full marks here. From the first frame onwards you are ready for the ride...you will never feel tired in this 160 min of ride. And above all you will fall in love when our hero-heroine makes love, you feel bad when a gigantic tree falls down, you feel sad when our princess finds the identity of our hero, you feel lost when hero stand @ no-mans land, you feel cursing for the villain's evil things, you feel fighting when our hero fights for his land & people. You will feel from the first frame to the last frame....because you are in Avatar of hero. That is the magic of the best screen play.

When it comes to acting everybody has done exceptional job...especially Zoe Saldaña and Sam Worthington, their chemistry is awesome which convinces us as they are made for each other. Their love looks tender yet eternal, hats off to James once again.

And next comes the marketing department which promoted this movie as if it is a sin if we dont watch it on 3d...and they are absolutely right. I was wondering why they promoted it saying 'Experience it' because if it is a movie you will forget after certain time...if its an Experience then you will remember it for life time. And this movie...you MUST EXPERIENCE IT...no other option making it absolutely Wonderful marketing strategy.

I just read a post from RGV in his blog saying...'I hate him for making all us so-called filmmakers in the world feel like chooths.

Yeah I agree with him, We are in a world where film makers spend 23 crores to make a movie called 'Saleem'(Telugu).

So guys come out of this world and lets experience 'AVATAR' and dont forget to wear '3D' googles :)

Fly Away Home

Hello people I hope you all are doing great. Wondered why I am posting less movies these days? As I always say there are few things which are occupying most of my time and the other reason is, I always wanted to comeback here with nothing but a best movie. If you look at the movies which I posted from a month...every movie is a master piece, thanks to Hollywood. Today I am coming up with another master piece called 'Fly Away Home'. No no no it is not about eloping!lol so, to know what it is all about lets run the reel....

At the beginning of the film, while riding in a car with her mother, 13-year-old Amy Alden (Paquin) is in an accident which kills her mother. Her father, Thomas Alden (Daniels), comes to New Zealand and brings her back to Ontario, Canada a month after the accident. Understandably, Amy is still in shock over her mother's death, and is slow to warm to her father and her new life. Amy and her father have not seen or been in touch since Amy had left with her mother to live in New Zealand when she was three years old.

Thomas Alden is an artist, an inventor, and a naturalist. His intelligence is evidenced by the complex inventions and works of art and sculpture that lie around his house and property. Amy also discovers that he has a girlfriend, Susan (Dana Delany) who lives with her father. Amy's initial reception of Susan is similar to that of her father: Amy makes it very clear that Susan is not welcome in her life.

Amy sets off to explore her new surroundings on her own and adjust to her new life, stopping only sometimes when she has to attend school. Early one morning, a crew of construction vehicles comes along and destroys a place that has been the nesting area for Canadian wild geese. Amy goes out to investigate and finds a bunch of eggs that a nesting mother goose was forced to abandon. Amy rescues the eggs and incubates them inside an old dresser within the barn. When she comes to check on the eggs later on, the goslings are hatched. As Amy is the first living thing they see, she is "imprinted" as their mother; thus they follow her everywhere from then on in the story.

Thomas consults with a game warden about how to feed and care for the geese. He does not know that in Canada, one of the game warden's job responsibilities is to pinion the wings of any parent-less migratory birds so that they can no longer take flight. Being flightless, there are fewer dangers and hazards for the birds themselves and others. However, as he attempts to do so with one of the goslings, Amy becomes outraged, hits him with a popcorn bowl and locks herself and the goslings in the bathroom. The game warden is then thrown off the Alden property by Thomas.

As the geese grow and mature it becomes obvious to Thomas, Amy, and all their friends that the birds must migrate or the game warden will return to pinion their wings to keep them from ever flying. In the meantime, Thomas' brother, David (Terry Kinney) knows of an ornithologist in the United States who tells him about land in North Carolina where a bird sanctuary is. There is a catch however: birds have not lived at the sanctuary for a long time, and developers have expressed interest in the land. Unless birds are shown to be nesting in the area by November first of that year, the sanctuary will become the property of the developers.

David and Thomas agree that the land would be prime for the geese, and Thomas proposes a plan to get the geese to follow him in an aircraft and he will fly south using an ultralight slow-moving aircraft, showing them the way to migrate.

hmmmm quite interesting! will Thomas succeed in his new experiment? will Amy agree to leave her geese? will geese learn how to Fly Away Home! is the heart touching climax.

As per Vish: A MUST WATCH MOVIE for all genres, most importantly drama movie lovers will enjoy this flick more. One of the most interesting point is, this movie is inspired by a real life events of Bill Lishman, a Canadian inventor, artist, and ultralight aircraft hobbyist during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Credit should be given to the director who made this movie a MUST WATCH :)

Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959)

Hi people I can see everyone's glowing faces and the very next moment I can understand that today is saturday...the only day for which we wait for 6days and I am gonna bounce your happiness with one of the best adventure movie I have seen in recent times so lets start the 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'....

Professor Oliver Lindenbrook (Mason), a newly knighted geologist from the University of Edinburgh, is given a piece of volcanic rock by his admiring student, Alec McEwen (Boone). Deciding that the rock is unusually heavy and, therefore, must contain Icelandic periodite, Lindenbrook (mostly thanks to the carelessness of his lab assistant, Mr. Paisley) discovers a plumb bob inside bearing a cryptic inscription. Lindenbrook and Alec conclude that it was left by an explorer by the name of Arne Saknussem, who had, almost 300 years earlier, actually found a passage to the center of the Earth. After translating the message on the plumb bob, Lindenbrook immediately sets off (with Alec as his assistant) to follow the example of the Icelandic pioneer.

The first obstacle of the journey is revealed to be Professor Goetaborg of Stockholm, who upon receiving a correspondence from Lindenbrook regarding the nature of the plumb's message opts to beat the Scottish scientist to his goal of reaching the earth's center.

Lindenbrook and McEwen chase him to Iceland. Once they are in Iceland, Goetaborg, with the help of his goon, manages to kidnap both of them and trap them in an underground cellar, from where they are freed by a young athletic Icelander, Hans Belker ( Ronson), and his duck Gertrude. They immediately proceed to the inn where Goetaborg is staying and sneak in his room (number 29), where they find him dead. Lindenbrook, with the astuteness of a forensic scientist, combs the goatee of Goetaborg and retrieves some potassium cyanide crystals. They conclude that he has been killed by some rival scientist.

Finding him dead before his expedition even began, Lindenbrook and Alec are suddenly supplied with all the materials they need for their project. Goetaborg's recent widow, Karla (Dahl), who at first vowed to destroy all her husband's supplies rather than lend these to them, agrees to lend them his valuable supplies (including the much sought after Ruhmkorff lamps) if they included her in their adventurous trip. Lindenbrook, seeing that he has no choice, grudgingly agrees to take her along, and so four explorers (and a duck) are soon journeying to the heart of the Earth itself. Thus along with Lindenbrook and Alec, the group included Hans Belker, Gertrude, and Mrs. Goetaborg.

Strange terrain, a deranged rival scientist named Count Arne Saknussem (David), breathtaking scenery and dinosaurs embellish the rest of their journey. Count Arne Saknussem is the descendent of Saknussem, the famed scientist who tried to travel to the center of the earth 300 years ago and left many guiding marks along the path for the posterity. Count Saknussem, his descendent, thinks that the center of the earth is his terrain and only he has a right to visit there, as it was his forefather who went there. He trails the famed group secretly with a servant, and once tries to kill Alec too. The group catches him, and in a weird "under the earth" court hearing, sentences him to death. However no one has the gall to kill him, and grudgingly they have to take him along.

hmmmm nice twist! what happens next will Saknussem ever tries to kill again or not...will he able to continue his journey with the rest of the team or not.....and most importantly will they ever reach the center of the earth? to know these secrets you have to watch this adventure filled climax.

As per Vish: One of the best adventure flick I have seen in recent times. As it is made in 1959 it has more content than special effects with best performances. Have a nice weekend @ the certer of the earth! lol :)

Hancock

Heeey guys I hope everyone enjoyed last night with a zing and waiting for another superduper sunday night. And from my side I will add more zing to your funfull life with yet another super character called....'Hancock'. Lets welcome the one and only and one of its kind....Hancock...

ohn Hancock (Will Smith) is an alcoholic man with superhuman powers, including supersonic flight, invulnerability, and super-strength. Though he uses his powers to stop criminals in his current residence of Los Angeles, his activity inadvertently causes millions of dollars in property damage due to his constant intoxication. As a result, he is routinely jeered at the crime scenes. Hancock also ignores court subpoenas from the city of Los Angeles to address the property damage he has caused.

When public relations spokesperson Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) departs from an unsuccessful meeting pitching his All-Heart logo for corporations who are extraordinarily charitable, he becomes trapped on railroad tracks with an incoming freight train. Hancock saves Ray's life, but he causes the train to derail and nearly injures another driver. Hancock is jeered by other drivers for causing more damage, but Ray steps in and thanks Hancock for saving his life. Ray offers to improve Hancock's public image, and Hancock grudgingly accepts. The spokesperson convinces the alcoholic superhero to permit himself to be jailed for outstanding subpoenas so they can show Los Angeles how much the city really needs Hancock. When the crime rate rises after Hancock's incarceration, the superhero is contacted by the Chief of Police. With a new costume from Ray, Hancock intervenes with a bank robbery, rescuing a cop and stopping the leader of the robbers, Red Parker (Eddie Marsan).

After the rescue, Hancock is applauded for handling the bank robbery. The superhero becomes popular once more, as Ray had predicted. He goes out to dinner with Ray and his wife Mary (Charlize Theron), with whom he reveals his apparent immortality and his amnesia from 80 years ago. After Hancock tucks a drunken Ray in bed, he discovers that Mary also has superhero powers.

hmmmm that is a very good twist...who is this Mary actually and what is her link with Hancock is the remaining interesting story.

As per vish: Not a great movie to be frank but you can have a fun watching will smith. He yet again remains as the box office king. Have fun watching this flick :)

Six Days Seven Nights

Heeey people I hope you all doing fine in your professional and personal life :) If you have any miseries... I already told you just think about this "Adda" ! lol ok coming to today's movie 'Six Days Seven Nights'. Its about two strangers who gets stuck in an island(how romantic! lol), sounds interesting right...lets get into the details...

Robin Monroe (Heche), a New York journalist working for Dazzle, a fashion magazine, is invited by her boyfriend Frank (Schwimmer) to spend a one-week holiday with him on the island paradise of Makatea in the South Pacific. For the final leg of their journey the couple have to make do with a small dilapidated aircraft (DHC-2 Beaver) piloted by a middle-aged American called Quinn Harris (Ford). A few hours after their arrival, Frank proposes to Robin.

Robin, however, is a workaholic and cannot say no when she gets a call from her boss asking her to go to Tahiti just for one night to supervise a fashion event. She hires Quinn to fly her there, but an unexpected thunderstorm forces the plane into a crash-landing on a deserted island (Part of a cross cutting sequence in which the forced landing is juxtaposed with a native dance performed for tourists and watched by Frank back at the hotel).

Fighting for survival on the island, Quinn and Robin inadvertently become witnesses to modern-day pirates killing the owner of a yacht and throwing his body into the sea.

The vast majority of the film deals with the adventures (often comic in nature) of Quinn and Robin as they try to evade the pirates and survive in the island's jungle wilderness. In the process, Quinn and Robin fall in love, despite their initial dislike towards one another.

So will their love continues till end or not...to know these romantic climax you have to get this DVD.

As per vish: I can recommend this flick for a people who strictly needs some timepass movie. Nodoubt you can have some fun :) have a nice day guys :)

Hidalgo

Which is the last adventurous movie you have seen? Indiana Jones?? Its a very old movie. hmmmm Mummy? Mummy is more of special effects than adventure I guess! I know... hollywood which used to be famous for its adventurous movies is suffering to comeup with a good story. To fill this gap Joe Johnston cameup with a very good movie called Hidalgo.

In 1890, a wealthy sheikh(Omar Sharif) invites an American, Frank T. Hopkins (Viggo Mortensen), and his mustang horse(Hidalgo) to enter the race for the first time. During the course of his career, Hopkins was a cowboy and dispatch rider for the U.S. cavalry--and had once been billed as the greatest rider the West had ever known. The Sheikh puts his claim to the test, pitting the American cowboy and Hidalgo, against the world's greatest Arabian horses and Bedouin riders, some of whom are determined to prevent a foreigner - and especially an "impure" horse - from finishing the race. For Frank, the Ocean of Fire becomes not only a matter of pride and honor, but a race for his very survival as he and his horse attempt the impossible.

Will our Hidalgo accomplishes his masters wish to travel 3,000 mile race or not is the remaining story.

As per vish: A very good adventurous movie after a long time with stunning visuals. Director is succesful in carrying the mood of the audience till the end though the screenplay is slow. Viggo Mortensen is perfect as Cowboy and he fills the gap of Indiana Jones.
