Nothing to Lose

Hello people I hope you all are having a great week. Wondering what happened these days to our local media...these days 'Magadheera' is haunted more than 'Swine Flu'. Though the movie deserves all the mileage for its mind blowing technical/physical performances....our 'Great NEWS' channels are promoting 'Magadheera' than 'Swine Flu' and that too for free!95% of the time they are promoting it in a negative way and only sometimes they are giving the exact news(as usual) However Allu Arvind must be a lucky man...Because at the end of the day his movie is getting full publicity without throwing a penny! Ok coming to today's movie...I have comeup with a comedy flick called 'Nothing to Lose'. Lets roll the reels....

The film is about Nick Beam (Tim Robbins), an advertising executive who thinks his life is going very well -- until he returns home from work and discovers that his wife (Kelly Preston) is apparently having an affair with his boss. On the edge of a nervous breakdown, Nick drives around the city until small-time carjacker T-Paul (Martin Lawrence) jumps into his truck and attempts to rob him. Turning the tables on his mugger, Nick kidnaps T. Paul on the spot and drives him to the desert. After T-Paul robs a gas station in the Arizona desert, the mismatched pair devise a scheme to rob Nick's boss in revenge for the affair.

Nick knows the combination to a safe in his boss's office containing a large amount of cash, as well as the best time to enter, and where not to venture in the building. T-Paul knows the weaknesses of the security system, how to avoid the cameras, and how to get through any electronic locks that they might encounter.

Another criminal duo (resembling Nick and Paul) get blamed for the gas-station robbery and pursue the pair to L.A. After a brief confrontation, the two ram Nick's truck off the road.

After escaping the 'real' criminals, the pair execute their plan.

Will they execute it perfectly?? will the real criminals keep quite after getting humiliated......what happens next....is the remaining fun filled climax.

As per Vish: Though not a must watch, but defenetly WORTH A WATCH movie. Both Tim Robbins and Lawrence have done superb job in tickling our funny bone. So, people for the mean time have fun with Robbins & Lawrence :)

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Hello people I hope you all are doing great and hoping for the best weekend. A best weekend requires a best movie...hence came up with a super duper hit and critically acclaimed 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels'. Sounds interesting right! if we go into the details it is much more interesting...so lets peep into the story...

Long-time friends; Bacon, Soap, Tom and Eddie decide to put together £100,000 to play three card brag against "Hatchet" Harry Lonsdale—a porn king of notorious disposition—in a high-stakes card game in the hopes of winning easy money. Aided by Barry "the Baptist", Harry's personal bodyguard and trusted counsel, the game is fixed so that Eddie, the card sharp representing the group, loses to Harry and is forced to pay a £500,000 debt within one week, citing the loss of fingers and Eddie's father's bar if he fails to pay. To Eddie's fortune, and the dismay of his friends, all four of the group are tasked with honouring this debt, as they were all responsible for fronting the stake money. Harry’s loyal and violent debt collector, Big Chris—who often brings his son and apprentice, Little Chris, to his work—is assigned to collect the payment on the due date.

After several days and no ideas to come up with the money, Eddie returns home and overhears his neighbours, a gang of thieves known for robbing drug dealers, planning a heist on some marijuana growers supposedly loaded with cash and drugs. Eddie relays this information to the group, intending for all of them to rob the neighbours as they come back from their heist, therefore solving the debt. Tom uses his connection with an underground dealer, known as Nick "the Greek", to provide them with guns for the job, and to find someone to help them move the drugs. Nick then manages to acquire a pair of antique shotguns, and arrange a deal with Rory Breaker, a gangster and sociopath, to purchase the stolen weed.

Prior to the card game, a pair of lowlife criminals, Gary and Dean, were hired by Barry to rob a bankrupt millionaire for Harry, who wanted a specific pair of antique shotguns from the stolen pile for his personal collection. The two guns that Harry wanted, however, were the ones that Gary and Dean sold prematurely to Nick after the robbery. An enraged Barry then threatens the two into getting them back.

The neighbours' heist goes underway; Dog, the leader of the gang, learned of the weed chemists from one of the members, and uses his connections to the group to catch them off guard. Despite having a gang member killed by his own Bren Gun, and an incriminating encounter with a traffic warden, the job is otherwise a success. Unfortunately as they come back to the hideout, the four friends ambush the neighbours and take the loot, who later return that night to stash the goods next door, and then celebrate with a wild night of drinking.

wwwooooww what a simple theft for a big money...how long did their party lasted...will the original thieves our gang or not...will our boys pay back their debt or not....and what is this Two Smoking Barrels in the title suggests is the remaining awesome climax :)

As per Vish: One of the BEST OF THE BEST action thrillers I have ever seen. That is why I am presenting you for this weekend :) There is not even a single thing which goes against the movie, every thing worked so perfectly. A MUST WATCH for all kinds of movie lovers.....have a very nice viewing people :)

Hot Fuzz

Hello people I hope you all had a great time watching 'Made of Honor' today I am coming with action/comedy called 'Hot Fuzz' which became superduper and at the same time achieved high appreciation from critics for its unique presentation. So, lets dont waste time and start the show....

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), an extremely dedicated police officer in London's Metropolitan Police Service, performs his duties so well that he is accused of making his colleagues look bad. As a result, his superiors transfer him to the sleepy and seemingly crime-free village of Sandford in rural Gloucestershire.

Once there, he immediately arrests a large group of underage drinkers and a drunk driver, who turns out to be his eventual partner, Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), a well-meaning but naive police constable, the son of local police inspector Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent). A serious action film fan, Danny is in awe of his new big city partner, who just might provide him with his chance to experience the life of gunfights and car chases he longs for. Angel struggles to adjust to the slow, uneventful pace of the village. Despite clearing up several otherwise unnoticed crimes in short order, including confiscating a sea mine and a number of unlicensed firearms, Angel soon finds his most pressing concern to be a swan that has escaped from a farm. His strict attention to the letter of the law also makes him the focus of dislike by some of his co-workers. However, Angel and Danny eventually bond over drinks at the local pub and action films.

Soon after Angel's arrival, a series of murders disguised as accidents rock the village, all committed by a figure in a black hood and cloak show to the audience but unseen by the villagers. Increasingly convinced that Sandford is not what it seems and that the victims of the 'accidents' were murdered, Angel begins to clash with his colleagues. He refuses to drop the investigation and in front of several police officers announces his arrest of Simon Skinner (Timothy Dalton), the swarmy manager of the local Somerfield supermarket, for the murders, the victims of which have all been involved in a lucrative property deal. Skinner responds by smoothly providing plausible explanations for all of Angel's charges and goes free, the incident further damaging Angel's credibility with his colleagues.

After being attacked in his hotel room by the cloaked murderer, whom he knocks unconscious and reveals to be Michael Armstrong (Rory McCann), the enormous trolley boy of the Somerfield (acting on Skinner's orders), Angel is led to a nearby castle where he discovers the truth; Inspector Butterman, Skinner and the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (NWA), intent on keeping Sandford's title of "Village of the Year", have been murdering anyone who they saw as a threat to the village's quaint and charming image. The fact that all the murders that occurred after Angel arrived could be tied together in a property scheme is a coincidence, each victim having been murdered for more trivial reasons. Inspector Butterman reveals that his wife committed suicide after the village lost the title many years ago, motivating him to use extreme methods. Angel discovers the bodies of various "problem" people whom the NWA disposed of before and since his arrival, before being cornered and 'stabbed' by Danny, apparently a member of the NWA.

hmmmm nice twist to the tale....what happens next will they spare Angel...or will Angel kills them...is Angel's assumption about this village is right? to know all these secrets you have to watch the movie.

As per Vish: Defenetly worth watchable action/comedy which is told in a unique style. Full credit to Edgar Wright the director and Simon Pegg for penning nerve crunching story with enough LOLs. So people till next time have a great fun with 'Hot Fuzz'.

Hello people a very good morning to all of you. Day has come to know our next government and CM and PM...so if you dont find your favourite as CM or PM then dont worry visit my website and watch this flick....if your favourite has become the CM or PM then also come back and watch this flick as this movie works like a double whammy....Either way this movie works like a fire cracker......so lets know what is this 'Snatch.'all about....

The movie begins with Turkish (Jason Statham) narrating. In Antwerp a valuable 84 carat diamond is stolen. Franky "Four-Fingers" (Benicio del Toro) takes the stone to London, but one of the Russian thieves tells him he can get a gun from Boris the Blade (Rade Serbedzija). Meanwhile Turkish and Tommy, who work in the world of unlicensed boxing matches, are preparing their fighter, Gorgeous George (Adam Fogerty) for a match. Turkish sends Tommy, his cowardly, dim-witted accomplice, to go buy a new caravan. Turkish then notices Tommy has a gun bought from Boris the Blade, as they are dealing with the leader of the unlicensed boxing world, Brick Top (Alan Ford). Brick Top is a dangerous crime lord in London who kills people who displease him, and then feeds them to pigs. He's counting on Turkish to fix this fight, which means they cannot let him down.

The Russian tells Boris that he sent Franky to buy a gun, so Boris plans to steal the stone. In New York, Jewish crime boss Abraham "Cousin Avi" Denovitz (Dennis Farina) is told Franky has the stone. Avi tells Franky to visit his cousin in London, Doug the Head (Mike Reid), an expert, so that they can sell the stone for what it's worth. Avi also warns Franky (who is a compulsive gambler) to stay away from the casinos, especially with the diamond in tow. Franky then visits Boris, who offers him a gun if he places down a bet for an unlicensed boxing match at a bookies in Boris' name.

Tommy and Gorgeous George arrive at the Irish gypsy ("Pikey") campsite. They buy a caravan from Mickey O'Neil (Brad Pitt), but the wheels fall off. Tommy asks for a refund but Mickey refuses, which angers Gorgeous and Mickey then challenges him to a fight. At first, Gorgeous seems to be winning, but then Mickey knocks him out with one punch, breaking Gorgeous' neck and jaw and gravely injures him.

Sol (Lennie James) and his brother Vinny (Robbie Gee) have just bought a dog from the Pikeys. Boris offers them £50,000 to hold up the bookies.

Franky shows Doug the diamond but tells him he has to go to the bookies. Then we see Sol, Vinny and their getaway driver, Tyrone (Ade) getting ready. They are told to rob the bookies when a man with four fingers and a briefcase (Franky) enters it. They are then supposed to get what's in the case (the diamond) for Boris, while they get the takings. But Tyrone backs the car into a van which knocks Franky out.

Turkish and Tommy are left without a fighter, so they decide to use Mickey. Mickey says he'll do it as long as they buy his Mom a new caravan. They agree and go to see Brick Top. They both tell Brick Top that they lost Gorgeous George. Brick Top is furious about this and tells them they can't change fighters so late, however he whispers to Turkish that he insists Mickey has to go down in the 4th round.

Will Mickey goes down in the 4th round or not....what happens to Franky....will there be any more characters......and most importantly what happens to the famous diamond and who will 'Snatch' it is the remaining interesting climax.

As per Vish: This is truely a master piece of work or you can say intelligent movie made by none other than 'Guy Ritchie' who is famous for these kind of movies. It falls in a different genre called circular story telling. So people have an incredible experience by watching this 'MUST WATCH SNATCH.'

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Heeey people I hope you enjoyed my previous sci-fi flick Resident Evil, today I am coming up with a different genre called ..'Black Comedy', I guess this is the first movie which I am writing the review on Black Comedy kind of movie...so lets start reviewing...

The film is narrated by a small-time criminal, Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.). He is self-aware and talks to the audience at various times through the movie. (See also the theatre concept of the fourth wall and metafiction).

Running away from police after a botched robbery, Harry runs into a movie audition to escape and, ironically, impresses the producers. He is brought to Hollywood, where he meets homosexual private-eye "Gay" Perry von Shrike (Val Kilmer), who is enlisted to help Harry prepare for his role in the movie.

Harry is introduced to Hollywood parties and encounters his dream-girl, Harmony Lane (Michelle Monaghan); a girl Harry has known since childhood. The two childhood friends leave for Harry's apartment, but budding romance is squelched when Harry proceeds to drunkenly have sex with Harmony's friend.

Following around Perry at his job, Harry stumbles upon evidence of a complicated murder mystery eerily similar to the detective stories which Harry and Harmony grew up reading. The three team up to solve the mystery and encounter a series of seemingly nonsensical problems.

What are the those problems how they get rid of them is the remaining interesting story.

As per Vish: This one is defenetly not for usual movie goers, But if you like to watch different comedy and if you are noir movie lover then this works like a grand buffet. Have a nice week people :)

Get Smart

Hello people first of all advance Id Mubarak to everyone hope all your wishes come true on this beautiful day :) though I cant come to your place and make you happy I can send you 'Smart'! yes absolutely he is such a lovable guy and at the same time a greatest spy in the world! interested to know the story, ok then lets run the reels....

Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell), the top analyst of the top secret American intelligence agency CONTROL, hopes to become a field agent like his idol, Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson), but despite scoring extremely well in the acceptance tests Max is denied the promotion because the Chief of CONTROL (Alan Arkin) thinks Max is too valuable as an analyst. This changes when CONTROL headquarters is attacked by their arch-enemy, the terrorist organization KAOS, led by a man known only as Siegfried (Terence Stamp). As a result, almost all of CONTROL's agents are exposed and killed. Max becomes Agent 86 and is partnered with Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway), whose recent plastic surgery has protected her identity, while former field operatives like 23 are demoted to desk jobs.

Max and 99 travel to Russia on a mission to determine how KAOS has been getting nuclear weapons. Along the way, Max slowly proves to 99 that despite his inexperience and clumsiness he is actually a good field agent. Max also begins to show, as does 99, that he has slight feelings for her, and she for him. However, 99 does not want to have a relationship with any agent, as she previously blew a mission due to her being in a relationship with a partner (as it turns out, Agent 23). The pair try to infiltrate KAOS's Moscow nuclear weapons factory, which is disguised as a bakery, and even though Siegfried has been expecting them, Max and 99 overpower the guards and plant explosives that will bury the nuclear weapons under rubble. Max even saves both 99's life and his own by helping one of Siegfried's henchmen, a man named Dalip (Dalip Singh), with his marital problems using information gleaned from his analyst work. The Chief sends 23 to oversee clean-up of the bakery, but 23 reports that he has found no evidence of nuclear weapons, causing CONTROL (and an upset 99) to believe that Max is a double agent.

Siegfried reveals that KAOS has distributed nuclear weapons to unstable dictators, and will supply them with the activation codes unless the American Government pays him $200 billion, and decides to establish the credibility of his threat by destroying Los Angeles with a nuclear bomb during the President's visit. The Vice-President doesn't believe CONTROL's claims that KAOS is a serious threat so the Chief, 99 and 23 go there to try and personally convince the President.

Will they able to convince the President or not....what happens to KAOS and most importantly what happens to our super Smart is the remaining action climax.

As per Vish: First thing first Steve Carell is apt for this role, you cannot imagine other than Steve in this role. And as his lover Anne Hathaway is sexy too and also have equal footage to show her acting skills. And I guess this will be my best gift for you all for this beautiful Id...hope you will agree with me too after watchig it :)

Starsky & Hutch

Heeey people I hope you all are having fun at your work place I want to continue your fun full time even at your home and that's why I came up with yet another comedy flick starring none other than Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson called 'Starsky and Hutch' so lets dont waste time and start knowing about these dudes.....

David Starsky (Ben Stiller) is a loudmouth, wannabe macho cop who is paired with the cool, easy going Ken 'Hutch' Hutchinson (Owen Wilson). The two are wary of each other in the beginning.

Drug kingpin Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn) and his partner-in-crime Kevin (Jason Bateman) are planning to bring in a shipment of a 'motherload' of drugs worth millions of dollars. They have developed a new type of cocaine which is untraceable. Earlier, Feldman shot one of his drug pushers due to the failure of a drug transport operation.

Starsky & Hutch find a dead floater (the body of the murdered pusher) on a pier a few days later. A clue from the dead man leads them to Feldman's house for questioning; Feldman denies any knowledge of the crime and states his regret for the man's death. Starsky and Hutch go to a prison to speak with a weird man Big Earl, who has connections with Feldman's drug business. They then get a packet of what they think is cocaine until Dobey, their captain, tells them it is artificial sweetener. Starsky uses it in his coffee and him, Hutch, Stacey and Holly go to a disco where Starsky exhibits effects of the drug. Hutch takes him home and proceeds to have a threesome with Holly and Stacey. Feldman continues to be the main suspect of the duo's investigation. A twist of fate ends the duo's career after they claim that Feldman stores drugs in his garage; during an undercover operation on the day of his daughter's Bat Mitzvah Starsky ends up accidentally shooting a pony in the garage. Captain Dobey (Fred Williamson) suspends Starsky and Hutch; they argue and it leads to a split in their friendship.

Meanwhile Hutch's neighbour Willis is involved in a bomb blast in Hutch's house, and breaks his leg (the bomb was intended for Hutch). Starsky comes to visit Willis in the hospital where a "who's at fault" argument finally leads to reconciliation. They both decide to go after Feldman and put an end to his drug business.

With help from Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg), their compatriot and informant, they learn that Feldman plans to sell the drugs at a charity ball by hiding them in cars to be given away to preplanned customers (dope pushers).

Will our heroes stop this smuggling or not..will they ever become supercop or not is the remaining full filled climax.

As per Vish: Though this is not a must watch comedy flick but defenetly kills your time by making you smile. So for today lets enjoy the company of Starsky & Hutch :)

Lethal Weapon

Hi people I hope everyone are great and having fun at your work place like Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh. Oops forgot to introduce my new buddies...they are Riggs and Roger meet them in 'Lethal Weapon'. And lets how much fun and action they had @ their work place ...

The story begins on the night of December 14, 1987 with the apparent suicide of Amanda Hunsaker (Jackie Swanson), the daughter of Michael Hunsaker (Tom Atkins), an old friend and former army buddy of LAPD Detective Sergeant Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover). A veteran cop of 20 years, Roger Murtaugh gets stuck with a new partner on his 50th birthday. That partner is 37-year-old Detective-Sergeant Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson), whose wife was killed in a car accident three years earlier. As a result, Riggs is a suicidal, borderline alcoholic, who has become so reckless and violent that he is considered a "lethal weapon". Sergeant Murtaugh first believes that his new partner is "trying to draw a psycho pension" and is horrified to learn that he is genuinely "crazy." However, he is soon indebted to his new partner for saving his life.

While investigating Amanda Hunsacker's death, the two uncover a heroin-smuggling operation run by Vietnam War special forces troops, known as 'Shadow Company' (see Air America). The scheme is masterminded by a ruthless retired General, Peter McAllister (Mitchell Ryan) - the former commander of Shadow Company - and his chief enforcer, Mr. Joshua (Gary Busey). Murtaugh and Riggs - also Vietnam War veterans - discover that Michael Hunsacker was laundering the profits through his bank. McAllister had ordered the murder of his daughter to keep his laundryman under control. As Riggs and Murtaugh confront Michael Hunsacker, Mr. Joshua makes a surprise appearance in a helicopter and shoots him in the back with a sniper rifle.

As Riggs and Murtaugh discover more about Shadow Company's network, the increasingly violent members of Shadow Company make an attempt to kill Riggs and then kidnap Murtaugh's daughter Rianne. Despite their best attempt to free Rianne by using Riggs' presumed-dead status to their advantage, the three are captured. Using Rianne, Joshua pressures Murtaugh to reveal which of their drug shipments have been compromised. Riggs, though initially captured by McAllister and brutally tortured with electric shocks, frees himself and then liberates both Murtaugh and Rianne. The pair then declare war on Shadow Company, gunning down most of its members. McAllister is caught in a car accident by Murtaugh and is blown up by a live hand grenade (along with his heroin shipment). Both Riggs and Murtaugh shoot Mr. Joshua after Riggs beats him with a Triangle Choke in an unarmed combat fight on Murtaugh's front lawn.

That is how this flick ends and raises the curtain for Murtaugh and Riggs solid friendship and 'Buddy Cop' stories which followed like...Bad Boys,Rush Hour etc.

As per vish: No doubt one of the best action/comedy flick you should never miss. I can say that this one is a classic action flick.

Midnight Run

I hope everyone had fun with 'Cody Banks'(previous post) I want to continue to make you smile with yet another crime/thriller/comedy. This time I have pretty good cast like Robert De Niro, Charles Grodin, Yaphet Kotto etc to entertain you.

Jonathan Mardukas (Charles Grodin) is a mild-mannered Mafia accountant who ripped off $15 million from a Chicago kingpin. While under arrest for embezzlement, he jumps bail. Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) is an ex-cop who left the force when he refused to join his comrades in criminal activities. Now he’s a bounty hunter who will receive $100,000 when he returns Mardukas to Los Angeles for trial.

Walsh captures his man in New York and starts a cross-country trek. But soon he realises.....1) he cannot stand Mardukas, 2) Mardukas is too neurotic to fly the distance so they have to go by ground transport, 3) the FBI wants to stop them because they want to bring Mardukas in, 4) another bounty hunter wants to stop them because *he* wants to bring Mardukas in, and 5) the Mob would like to stop them, not just because they do not want Mardukas to tell what he knows but also because he embezzled $15,000,000 from them. All this is just a quaint way of saying that Walsh's chances of getting Mardukas to L.A. are less than ideal and that this particular trip is across country will not be uneventful.

In their eventfull journey they will travel in every mode of transport like Train, Car,Bus, in water, in air! lol

It is good to see De Niro in a meatier role for a change, as opposed to his larger-than-life walk-ons. His cheeky schoolboy grin certainly contribute to some of the film's lighter moments.

Grodin, too, makes the most of his endearing qualities and at times the chemistry between the two blossoms. This pairing is especially effective in the scenes in which Grodin acts as De Niro's conscience, endlessly bugging him about his smoking and eating habits, asking him personal questions about his private life, even talking him into visiting his ex-wife and daughter after nine years of separation.

And the film does have its amusing moments. For instance, when De Niro shows his obvious lack of mathematical skills on the train and, later, when Grodin mimics his captor in a box car. And there's a scene in which Pantoliano tells his right hand man that Walsh is bringing in "The Duke", thereby saving his livelihood, to which the guy responds "This calls for a celebration.... I'll get the donuts!", and they both theft money from a coffeshop for grossery.

As per vish: This is a situational comedy movie with excellent performances by Robert De Niro and Grodin. I hope you too love this pair :)
