Knocked Up

Hello people I hope you all had a great start to the week and enjoyed T20 World Cup final. Today I am coming up with another romantic comedy called...'Knocked Up' starring 'Seth Rogen'. So lets knock it...

Ben Stone (Seth Rogen) is a lazy, dimwitted and immature 23-year-old Jewish Canadian and claimed illegal immigrant from Vancouver, living off funds received in compensation for an injury and sporadically working on a Mr. Skin-like website with his roommates in between smoking marijuana or goofing off with them. Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) is a career-minded woman who has just been given an on-air role with E! Entertainment Television, and is living in the pool house with her sister Debbie's (Leslie Mann) family. While celebrating her promotion, Alison meets Ben at a local night club. After a night of drinking, they end up having sex. Due to a misunderstanding, they do not use protection: Alison uses the phrase "just do it already" to encourage Ben to put the condom on faster, which he misinterprets as "forget the condom". The following morning, they quickly learn over breakfast that they have little in common and go their separate ways which leaves Ben visibly defeated when she walks away.

Eight weeks later, Alison experiences morning sickness at work, and, several home pregnancy tests later, discovers she is pregnant. She contacts Ben for the first time since their one-night stand to tell him the news. Although taken aback, Ben says he will be there to support Alison having the baby. While he is still unsure about being a parent, his father (Harold Ramis) tells him that he was the best thing that ever happened to him. Alison's mother (Joanna Kerns) tries to convince her daughter to have an abortion, but Alison decides to keep the child. Later, Alison and Ben decide to give their relationship a chance. The odd couple's efforts include Ben making an awkward marriage proposal with a ring box without a ring, promising to get her one someday. Alison thinks it is too early to think about marriage, because she is more concerned with hiding the pregnancy from her boss, who asked her when she first got the on-air job to be "firm" and "tight" for the cameras.

hmmmm what happens next! will she ever tells her world that she is pregnant....will our Ben behave like a responsible guy?....what happens to their one-night stand relationship? is the remaining climax.

As per Vish: A cool romantic movie with enough comedy to make us sit till the end credits. Seth Rogen as Ben has done superb job along with Katherine Heigl. So people for tonight have fun with Seth :)

Legally Blonde

Hello people I hope you all are doing great @ your work place. And I guess you are little disappointed for the few things which happened this week like ...Indian team failure in T20 World Cup and Shiney Ahuja's rape case. Lets hope they will overcome this bad run as fast as possible. And coming to our flick...I am introducing a Blonde....for all those blonde's joke lovers this is for you to tell/show there is other side of them which makes them special...so lets peep into the story.

Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is portrayed as the typical pampered rich girl, growing up in Bel Air, across the street from Aaron Spelling. She is president of her sorority, Delta Nu, at the fictitious CULA, the California University of Los Angeles. Nearing graduation, Elle expects her Harvard Law School-bound boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis), to propose, but he instead breaks up with her, insisting that she is not "serious" and would hinder his political future. Warner tells her flat-out that for a girlfriend he needs "a Jackie, not a Marilyn.", and in shock she gasps out in earshot of the entire restaurant, "You're breaking up with me because I'm BLONDE!?". Elle later finds out that Warner's brother, Putnam Bowes Huntington III, is marrying Layne Walker Vanderbilt, a first-year Yale law student. Crushed, Elle decides the only way to win Warner back is to attend Harvard Law School. With an exceptional LSAT score (179), a 4.0 GPA (albeit achieved as a fashion merchandising major), and a confident application video featuring her in a bikini, Elle's application materials manage to convince the admissions board to grant her admission.

At Harvard, Elle is initially met with hostility and skepticism of her abilities, and she finds Warner is already engaged to fellow law student Vivian Kensington (Selma Blair). Vivian reluctantly invites Elle to a party, but tells her it is a costume party (which it is not) to humiliate her. Though she shows up dressed as a Playboy bunny, Elle plays it off as though she's completely cool, telling Vivian that she loves her costume, however, she was being totally sarcastic in a humorous way. She confronts Warner and finds that his perception of her is unaffected by her accomplishments.

Spurred by his dismissive remarks, Elle studies as hard as she can, and becomes an excellent student. She still finds it hard to be taken seriously, although Emmett Richmond (Luke Wilson), the trial assistant of Callahan (Victor Garber), one of Elle's professors, is friendly to her and recognizes her potential. She also forms a bond with manicurist, Paulette (Jennifer Coolidge), who has recently been through a divorce, giving Paulette advice on attracting the attention of the UPS guy she is interested in and also using her legal knowledge to allow Paulette to regain custody of her dog from her ex-husband.

Along with Warner and Vivian, Elle is hired as an intern at Callahan's firm. They are assigned the case of defending a young woman, Brooke Taylor Windham (Ali Larter), accused of murdering her wealthy husband. Windham is a former Delta Nu and a famous fitness instructor, which convinces Elle of her innocence (Her reasoning being that "exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people just don't shoot their husbands"), on top of which her independent wealth gives her no motive. Her stepdaughter and the household's "cabana boy" Enrique Salvatore (Greg Serano) attest to finding Windham standing over her husband's dead body, Enrique even claiming to have had an affair with her.

hmmmm what happens next? will our Blonde lady able to resolve the mystery....will she able to prove her legal skills....will she able to convince her BF that she is 'Legally Blonde' or not is the remaining climax.

As per Vish: You can surely bet on this flick which I hope fulfills in all aspects. It has all the ingredients to be a perfect romantic/comedy. Kudos Reese Witherspoon who has done the lead role. So people for today accept this blonde :)

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

Hello people I hope you all enjoyed my last flick. And I hope you had a good start to this week, even if you dont....no worries I am here to bring smile on your lovely face. Hence coming up with yet another entertainer called 'The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement'

The film opens with Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), Crown Princess of Genovia, graduating from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School. We learn that she and Michael have broken up since he went on tour with his band.

Mia, Joe (Héctor Elizondo), and Fat Louie are flying to Genovia for Mia's 21st birthday and for her to take her grandmother, Clarisse Renaldi's (Julie Andrews) place as Queen of Genovia. At her birthday ball, she has to dance with all the eligible bachelors. She accidentally steps on a mysterious young man's shoe and dances with him. When Mia's tiara falls off Viscount Mabrey (John Rhys-Davies) catches it and it is revealed that he's planning to steal her royal position.

Mia overhears the meeting between Parliament and the Queen. Viscount Mabrey mentions another heir to the crown, his nephew Lord Devereaux (Chris Pine). Mia cannot be Queen unless she gets married in 30 days. Mia wants to marry for love, but agrees to an arranged marriage. Clarisse invites Lord Devereaux to stay at the palace. Mia is shocked when she sees he is the man she flirted at the ball, Lord Nicholas Devereaux.

Mia is joined with her best friend Lily Moscovitz (Heather Matarazzo) and later they search the possible husband. Mia chooses Andrew Jacoby (Callum Blue), Duke of Kenilworth and days later they are engaged. Mabrey and Nicholas get upset with the engagement, and plot against it. Nicholas starts flirting with Mia and initially is glad that the plan was working.

Mia starts to practise firing a flaming arrow as part of the ceremonies for when she is crowned Queen, but she is useless at archery. At a garden party, Mia gets annoyed seeing Nicholas with Lady Elissa. They argue near an isolated fountain and Nicholas suddenly kisses Mia. After that Nicholas gets second thoughts about stealing the crown and Mabrey realises that Nicholas has fallen in love with Mia.

Mia is practicing archery when Nicholas tells her that he's leaving, but he wants to meet Mia for the last time. Mia is upset, but agrees to meet him. Later they go to the lake and dance and fall asleep. When they wake up, Mia sees a man in a boat videotaping them. Mia thinks Nicholas set her up and storms off. When she gets back home, the video has already been broadcasted on TV.

awwww! what happens next? is Nicholas who actually set up all this or not....will Mia ever finds the real truth...so, will her Royal Engagement be successful? is the remaining climax.

As per Vish: Not as entertaining as the first part but a good time pass movie. Both Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews have done a superb job once again. So people If you want entertainment then pick this chick flick :)

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Hello people I hope you all had a fun time watching 'Plains,trains and automobiles' last weekend. Today I am coming up with yet another laugh riot but from British......and it is called 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. Sounds interesting right, so lets don't waste time and get into the details....

The film follows the adventures of a group of friends through the eyes of Charles, a debonair but faux pas-prone Englishman, played by Grant, who is smitten by Carrie, an attractive American played by Andie MacDowell, whom Charles repeatedly meets at weddings and at a funeral.

The first wedding is that of Angus and Laura (Timothy Walker and Sara Crowe). Charles and his collection of single friends are concerned that they will never get married. At this wedding, Charles meets Carrie for the first time and spends the night with her, but he regards it as a one-night stand. Carrie teases him that now they have slept together, they will also have to get married, but it is clear that she too sees their liaison as a one off.

The second wedding is that of Bernard and Lydia (David Haig and Sophie Thompson), a couple who got together at the previous wedding. This sequence features Rowan Atkinson in a small role as an inexperienced priest. The reception is not an enjoyable one for Charles. First, he encounters Carrie, who subsequently introduces Charles to her fiance, Sir Hamish Banks, a wealthy politician from Scotland. Next, Charles finds himself seated at a table with several ex-girlfriends, as well as bumping into Henrietta (known among Charles' friends as "Duckface"), with whom he had a difficult relationship in the past. As the evening wears on, Charles inadvertently finds himself in Bernard and Lydia's hotel suite and is forced to hide in a wardrobe after the newlyweds suddenly stumble into the room and engage in a sexual romp on the bed. Believing that Carrie has left the reception with Hamish, Charles later runs into her (without her fiance), shortly after another emotional encounter with Henrietta. Charles and Carrie end up spending the night together.

During the interim period, Charles receives an invitation to Carrie's wedding in Scotland; and while shopping for a present in London accidentally bumps into her in a shop and ends up helping select her wedding dress. Carrie also astonishes him with a list of more than thirty sexual partners (he learns he is Number 32). He later confesses to her that he loves her, and if her wedding is unsuccessful, he would like to have a relationship with her, an offer she politely declines.

The third wedding is that of Carrie and Hamish at a Scottish castle. Charles attends, depressed at the prospect of Carrie marrying Hamish. As the reception gets under way, Gareth instructs his friends to go forth and seek potential mates; Fiona's brother,Tom (James Fleet), stumbles through an attempt to connect with the minister's wife, while Charles' flatmate, Scarlett (Charlotte Coleman), strikes up a conversation with a tall, attractive American. As Charles watches Carrie and Hamish dance as husband and wife, he reveals his feelings about Carrie to his friend Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas), who is crestfallen and confesses that she has always loved Charles since they first met years ago. Charles is surprised and empathetic, but does not requite her love. At the wedding Charles's friend Gareth (Simon Callow) dies suddenly of a heart attack: Gareth's partner, Matthew (John Hannah in one of his first screen roles), is called but does not reach him before he dies.

awwwww! what happens next? whose will be the next (fourth) wedding! will Charles accept Fiona's love....or will he confesses his love to already married Carrie...to know the secrets you have to watch the full movie :)

As per Vish: Undoubtedly one of the best romantic comedies from British Films. Hugh grant as Charles has give outstanding performance, hats off to him. So people have a nice romantic week :)

Made of Honor

Heeey guys and gals I hope you all had a great weekend with full fun and joy :) Today I am bringing you a feel good romantic comedy called 'Made of Honor'. So people are you ready for a date :)

One Halloween night, Tom Bailey Jr., in costume as Bill Clinton, slips into bed with his pre-arranged date, "Monica". However it turns out to be the wrong woman, "Monica's" roommate Hannah, and Tom likes her because she is so honest and doesn't fling herself at him. Ten years later, Hannah and Tom are best friends. Tom is very wealthy, because of his creation of the "coffee collar" and gets a dime every time it is used. Tom is with a different girl every week, while Hannah focuses on her career in an art museum. He is very content with his life, suspecting that Hannah is too.

After Tom takes Hannah to his father's sixth wedding, Hannah tells Tom she must go to Scotland for work. While she's gone, Tom discovers that without her, being with another woman week after week is not very fulfilling. He realizes that he loves Hannah, and decides to tell her his feelings when she gets back.

Upon returning, Hannah surprisingly announces she is engaged to a wealthy Scot named Colin. Hannah asks Tom to be her "maid" of honor for her wedding. After discussing it with his friends, Tom decides to be her maid of honor, only to spend time with her and try to convince her she does not even know Colin, as well as making her realize that he loves her and she should be marrying him.

hmmmm nice twist so will our 'Dilwale' hero woo her 'Dulhaniya' to marry him or not is the remainig part of the story.

As per Vish: A very cool romantic comedy which has its own share of funny moments. So if you are in moody or not feeling good, you can pick this flick :)

Shakespeare in Love

Hello people I hope you all had a great week and planning for the best weekend as this weekend is pretty with the addition of May 1st. Any weekend without a best movie is similar to a Bee without Honey! lol so I came up with nothing but best romantic movie of all time....'Shakespeare in Love'. So lets find out how Shakespeare fell in love....

The film centres around the forbidden love of William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) and Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow), the daughter of a wealthy merchant.

As the film begins, theatre manager Philip Henslowe (Geoffrey Rush) finds himself in debt to loan shark Hugh Fennyman (Tom Wilkinson). Henslowe offers Fennyman a partnership in the upcoming production of Shakespeare's newest comedy, Romeo and Ethel, The Pirate's Daughter promising that it will be a hit. This play will later be renamed Romeo and Juliet and be reworked into a tragedy (but with some comical undertones with a few characters, like the Nurse).

Will Shakespeare is suffering from writer's block and has not completed the play, but begins auditions for Romeo. A boy named Thomas Kent is cast in the role after impressing Shakespeare with his performance and his love of Shakespeare's previous work. Unknown to Shakespeare and the rest of the theatre company, Kent is young Viola de Lesseps, whose dream is to act, but as women are barred from the stage, she must disguise herself as a young man in order to fulfill her dream.

After Shakespeare discovers his star's true identity, he and Viola begin a passionate secret affair. There are strong parallels between the pair's romance and the romance in Romeo and Juliet, including the ballroom scene from Act 2 and the balcony scene immediately following it. The element of forbidden love forms the basis of Shakespeare's inspiration, and many of their conversations later show up as some of the most famous quotes in the play.

Inspired by Viola, Shakespeare begins writing feverishly. His work in progress also benefits from the off-hand advice of playwright and friendly rival Christopher Marlowe (Rupert Everett). Yet Shakespeare and de Lesseps know that their romance is doomed. Shakespeare is married, albeit long separated from his wife, and Viola’s parents would never permit her to marry a commoner such as Shakespeare. In fact, Viola's father has privately arranged a betrothal for her to Lord Wessex (Colin Firth).

hmmmm what happens next will Viola comeout of that palace to marry Shakespeare.....or will she be forced to marry Wessex....what happens to their play.....and most importantly what happens to their love is the remaining heart touching climax.

As per Vish: One of the best romantic movie I have seen in recent times. Gwyneth Paltrow as Viola is ultimate...she looks sexy and acts superbly..that is the reason why she walked out with an Academy Award. Joseph Fiennes as Shakespeare is also apt for the character. A wonderful movie in all aspects which makes this weekend a delight, so people have a date with Shakespeare :)

Notting Hill

Hello people a very good morning to all :) I hope you all enjoyed my last flick. Today I am coming up with a decent romantic comedy which stars none other than one of my fav actress 'Julia Roberts' sharing the screen with 'Hugh Grant'. So lets travel to ...Notting Hill...

William Thacker (Hugh Grant) is the owner of an independent bookstore in Notting Hill that specializes in travel writing. Witty and handsome, he has not been coping well with his divorce and is currently sharing his house with an eccentric Welsh wannabe artist named Spike (Rhys Ifans). One day, Thacker encounters world-famous Hollywood actress Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) during her trip to London, when she enters his shop to purchase a book. Shortly thereafter, the pair accidentally collide in the street, causing William to spill his orange juice on the both of them. He offers his house, which is just across the road, as a place for Anna to get changed. She accepts and they retire to his abode. Having changed, Anna surprises William with a kiss and plants the seeds for their mutual attraction.

Days later, William asks Spike if he has any messages. Spike has trouble writing down or remembering any messages left for Will, but does recall "Some American girl called Anna" calling a few days previous. Anna is staying at the Ritz, under a pseudonym, and asks William to come and visit her. When he arrives, Anna's room has become the centre for a press day and as a result, William is mistaken for a member of the press. In a moment of panic he claims he works for Horse & Hound magazine. He has to interview every single cast member of Anna's new film Helix, even though he has not seen the film himself. William does get to talk to Anna, and invites her to his sister Honey's birthday party.

There, at Max (Tim McInnerny) and Bella's (Gina McKee) house, Anna feels at home with William's circle of friends, putting up a good case for the "last brownie" the group declared was to be awarded to the most pathetic of them. The pair go on several dates, to the cinema and to a restaurant. Anna invites William back to her hotel room, only to find her American boyfriend, Jeff King (Alec Baldwin), already there. Although Anna asserts that they have broken up, William decides to leave anyway.

awwww what happens next will she ever comeback to William...will William accept her....will they ever live happily.....so to know how this Beverly Hills lady fell to Notting Hills guy is the interesting climax :)

As per Vish: No doubt worth a watch romantic comedy. Both the lead pair has done a superb job, and there is a very good comedy character which is played by Rhys Ifans as Spike whom I added into my fav actors list after watching this one. So a MUST WATCH for all Julia Roberts fans and romantic lovers. Have a nice date with Julia and Grant :)

What Happens in Vegas

Hello people I hope you all had a great week and planning for the best weekend to happen. How about if that happens in Vegas! Yeah I mean in Las Vegas! wwwooooow that sounds fantastic right! though I cant take you all to Vegas...all I can do is bring Vegas to your place...You guessed it right I am blabbering about the movie called 'What Happens in Vegas'. So lets know what happened in vegas...

In New York City, high-strung stockbroker Joy (Cameron Diaz) is dumped by her fiancé at his surprise birthday she threw for him in front of all their friends, and easy-going carpenter Jack (Ashton Kutcher) is fired from his job by his father. Both become emotionally distraught and travel to Las Vegas with their best friends. They meet by chance when they are given the same hotel room because of a computer error. After clearing up the misunderstanding and receiving upgraded rooms and coupons to various clubs, they party and drink together and Joy and Jack end up getting married. The next morning, they realize it was a mistake and decide to divorce.

Before they do so, Jack uses a quarter Joy gives him in a slot machine. He hits a $3,000,000 USD jackpot and Joy reminds Jack that they are married and hence, she is entitled to some of the money. The couple returns to New York, where they attempt to divorce. Their judge (Dennis Miller) declares that the couple cannot divorce until they attempt to co-exist for six months, while attending weekly sessions with a marriage counselor (Queen Latifah). If they work at the marriage but still want to divorce after six months, each will be permitted to keep half the winnings from Las Vegas. If either party does not cooperate, their fortune will be tied up in litigation by the judge.

The newlyweds devise more and more cunning schemes to undermine one another, such as Jack telling Joy that their counseling session is canceled to prove she's not committed, and Joy inviting hot girls to their apartment to try to get Jack to cheat on her. They do this to keep the other's share. Jack gives Joy's ex-fiancé Mason (Jason Sudeikis), her engagement ring back without Joy knowing. At Joy's job retreat, Jack and Joy ironically find themselves developing an unexpected sexual attraction to one another and they soon realize that being with each other has brought out the best in both of them.

hmmm that sounds interesting! so what happens next will they find the love which is residing in them or will they start fighting for money again.....actually what happened in Vegas! lol is the remaining climax.

As per Vish: First thing first it is a just an average movie for the regular movie goers but if you want to watch some romantic comedy then this one is for you. Both Kutcher and Diaz are perfect as fighting couple....they will surely hit your funny bone lot of times. So if you want to pick a time pass comedy then blindly pick this one :) Ok people I hope you enjoy the ride to Vegas this weekend...meet you all in the next week :)
