Hello people I hope you all enjoyed my last horror flick :) Today I am coming up with our very own drama which is directed by none other than..'Woody Allen' and it is called 'Melinda and Melinda'. So lets know why Melinda came two times in the title...

The premise of the film is stated by a group of four writers conversing over dinner at the beginning of the film. The question arises: Is life naturally comic or tragic? One of the four proposes a simple story (a distraught woman knocks on a door and disrupts a dinner party) and the two prominent playwrights in the group begin telling their versions of this story, one being comic and one tragic.

I guess now you have an idea why this is called 'Melinda and Melinda'. So what happens in the tragic story....and what happens in the comedy story is the remaining story! lol

As per Vish: Though this film is made on a simple thread it is filled with high emotions, natural content marital relationships and lost loves. The interesting part is it is presented in both tragic and comic way sticking to its tagline 'Life can be a tragedy or a comedy, it all depends on how you look at it'.
'Radha Rani Mitchell' as Melinda sure steals your heart. A must watch for all drama movie lovers :)

Calendar Girls

Heeeey people I hope you all are doing great at your work place and having fun at your home. As always I am here to multiply your fun with a comedy/drama called 'Calendar Girls'. This movie is all about a bunch of old ladies who dont want sit quite when somebody is in need....so lets know what did they do...

When Annie Clarke's husband John dies from leukaemia at an early age, her close friend Chris Harper, anxious to purchase a comfortable sofa for the visitors lounge in the hospital where he was treated, hits upon the idea of printing a calendar featuring some of the members of the Knapely chapter of the Women's Institute discreetly posing nude while engaged in everyday activities, such as baking and knitting, in order to raise funds. Her proposal initially is met with great scepticism, but she eventually convinces ten women to participate in the project with her. They enlist one of the hospital workers, an amateur photographer named Lawrence, to help them with the concept.

The head of the local Women's Institute chapter refuses to sanction the calendar, and Chris and Annie go to a national congress in London to plead their case. They are told the final decision rests with the local leader, who grudgingly agrees to the calendar's sale.

hmmm nice so will their Calender will ever be completed.....if yes will it become a hit.....what happens after that is the remaining interesting 'true' story.

As per Vish: A complete feel good family movie. You will be surprised at the end that this is actually a true story, and that proves 'And Idea can change lives'! lol so people keep throwing ideas at me when ever you think it is worth it to develop our 'IIndShow'. Have a nice viewing :)

Patch Adams

Hello People a very good morning to everyone and I wish you all a very happy Vinayaka Chavithi :) I thought a lot about which movie will be best suited for this occasional day, and after some really strong brain storming day I came to conclusion that none will come to the par of movie called 'Patch Adams'. A very refreshing movie reviewing from a very refreshing Browser (Google Chrome!)on a very good occasional day. So lets dont waste time and get into the life of 'Patch Adams'.....

The film tells the story of Hunter "Patch" Adams (portrayed by Robin Williams), a medical doctor who became famous for his unconventional approach to medicine. After a suicide attempt, Adams seeks psychiatric help and is institutionalized. During this time he is inspired to become a medical doctor, and discovers that he is able to forget his own problems by helping others. Two years later, he enrolls at Virginia Medical University (a fictitious school shot at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus) and he is the oldest first year student. He questions the school's approach to medical care, and clashes with the school's Dean Walcott (played by Bob Gunton) because of his belief in the necessity of personal interaction with patients. Because of this and other incidents, including a prank during a medical conference, he is dismissed from the school, although he is later reinstated.

Adams develops a relationship with a fellow student, Corinne Fisher (played by Monica Potter), and develops his idea for a medical clinic built around his philosophy of doctor-patient interaction. With the help of Arthur Mendelson (Harold Gould), whom Patch met while in the mental home, he purchases 105 acres (425,000 m²) in West Virginia to construct the future Gesundheit Institute. Together with Corinne, Truman Schiff (another medical student, played by Daniel London), and some old friends, he renovates an old cottage. When they get the clinic running, they treat walk-in patients without medical insurance, Patch commonly doing minor comedy sketches such as wearing thick glasses and pretending to be near-sighted. Corinne is fascinated by Patch's talent and their friendship turns into deep love.

wwooww that is going cool...what happens next? will their be any obstacles in their love and what happens to their Doctor career? will the Hospital Management come to know about illegal diversion of medicines or not? is the remaining super-duper climax.

As per Vish: No doubt one of the best dramatic movie which dazzled me in the recent times. Ultimate performances by Robin Williams and others makes this movie worth a watch. Have a nice viewing people and I hope this movie works like a refreshing mentos for a new beginning :)

Freaky Friday (2003)

Have you ever imagined what happens when body swaps? I mean your soul remains as yours Just your body will be your father's/mother's/friend's!!!! hmmmm that sounds some what interesting right and if that happens (Just imagine your body swaped with your dad's body) then what next....You can chill time with your goody woody dad's image, you can scold anyone say your lecturers, elder sisters etc as they dont know that it is actually his son's mind who is doing this, and last but not the least you can enjoy all your luxuries with dad's credit cards! wwwoww you can really have rocking time. Now lets see the flip side of it, now your dad is with your body so what happens if your girlfriend tries to hangout with you(I mean the one with your dad's mind)! what happens if you as your dad has to give presentation before thousands of people !!!! ooopph that sounds really freaky right. Yep no doubt in it....Its really a 'FREAKY FRIDAY'.

Fifteen-year-old Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) feels unappreciated by her mother Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis.) She doesn’t think Tess takes her musical ambitions seriously, and that she is getting remarried too soon after the death of her father. Tess is a busy psychologist who has an easier time understanding her patients than her family. She is engaged to Ryan (Mark Harmon), dealing with her live-in father (Harold Gould), and raising her two kids, Anna and Harry (Ryan Malgarini.) Both Anna and Tess think the other one has it easier. One night, while having dinner at Pei-Pei’s (Rosalind Chao) Chinese restaurant, Pei-Pei’s mom (Lucille Soong) gives Anna and Tess a fortune cookie. Suddenly, an earthquake happens, but only Anna and Tess feel it. The next morning, they discover that they are in the body of the other one. After attempting to see if they can switch back (in a hilarious shot of them running into each other at full speed), they realize that they need to get on with the day and figure out how to switch back later. Anna goes to Tess’s office as Tess, where she has to deal with patients like Evan (Willie Garson), a nervous guy who needs to see her every day. She soon discovers how cool it is to have a charge card and a car. The downside is that she doesn’t want to kiss Ryan, since it creeps her out, and she certainly didn’t want to marry him. On the flipside, Tess goes to school as Anna. She doesn’t understand the attitudes and outfits of Anna’s friends, Maddie (Christina Vidal) and Peg (Haley Hudson.) Anna is the lead guitarist in a rock band called Pink Slip with Maddie and Peg, and they can’t understand why she was suddenly acting so uncool. Tess also discovers that Anna has a few enemies. Stacey Hinkhouse (Julie Gonzalo), a girl she used to be friends with, now hates her guts for some reason. Also, Anna’s English teacher, Mr. Bates (Stephen Tobolowsky), has it out for her for some reason. Furthermore, Tess discovers that Anna likes a boy named Jake (Chad Michael Murray), but after Jake runs into the Anna-in-Tess’s-body and has a great conversation with her over coffee, Jake starts liking Tess. Things become even more stressful when it is realized that Tess and Ryan’s wedding rehearsal dinner was on the same evening as an amateur battle-of-the-bands contest that Pink Slip has been entered into. That evening was at the end of that day, and both of them realize that they need to switch back before then. Anna had no desire to get all gooey and snuggly with Ryan, and Tess doesn’t know how to play the guitar. They find out their predicament has something to do with the fortune cookies, but they don’t know what the messages in the cookies mean. They try to figure those messages out before their respective events, and certainly before the wedding that is to take place on the next day.

As per vish: A nice feel good comedy which can be watched with whole family. There are three Freaky Friday pictures with the same story and name. Though all movies are well received by the critics and public the one which I reviewed is the recent movie which was released in 2003. So check the poster and actors before you buy this DVD.

All the fake guys are you reading?? here is your master in faking. And I assure you this is not fake its really really real. And this fake's story got stuck at none other than Steven Spielberg's table and here is the result...

This film dramatizes the true story of Frank William Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), a young con man who stole over $4 million (worth about $20 million now) through forgery and other frauds, throughout a crime career lasting six years from 1963 to 1969. The film diverges from the protagonist's actual life story for dramatic effect. Frank becomes an airline pilot, a doctor, a lawyer and at the end ....... (all using absolutely fake docs) to know what he becomes watch the movie as early as possible. And the rest of the interesting story is all about how our FBI agent, Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) finds out the real face of "man of many faces" Frank William Abagnale. I dont want to reveal this interesting story as you have to watch it.

DiCaprio is perfect as Frank and the way he is selcting his roles is really worth mentioning, if he continues in the same form no doubt he will be this generation's Top Star of Hollywood. What can I say about the director's actor Tom Hanks he is just superb. And his association with Spielberg presents us another dramatic movie before The Terminal.

The Terminal

Just imagine you are flying to US of America from a small country which is undertaken by Revolutionary forces when you are in air, and when you land at JFK airport you will be restricted to enter into the city and you come to know that your country has no government and your VISA, passport are cancelled!!!

I know your forgot to take breath for few seconds. The above situation is the story of this movie in which our Viktor Navorski (Cast away fame Tom Hanks) faces. He is from a place of no where and he can go no where now he has to stay in the airport. The Airport administrator Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci) who doesnot show any compassion for people leaves Victor in to problems every now and then.

The way Viktor learns english, the way he changes his Gate 67 into his home and the way he earns daily bread......and ofcourse the way he wins everyone heart is really superb.

Why Viktor comes to US of A, will he stay back in the ariport, what games do Dixon play against Viktor.....will he succeed ....getting exited just rush to the nearest movie store to get the DVD.

Oooops forgot to mention about our beautiful Amelia warren played by Catherine Zeta Jones. She is damn good.

As per vish: Can you expect a bad movie from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks....Noooo way. (This movie someties reminds our Munnabhai MBBS)
